Peri orbital wrinkles

Peri- orbital wrinkles, commonly called crow’s feet, are caused by three completely different mechanisms from each other:

  1. The contraction of the orbicularis oculi causes wrinkles around the eyes. As time passes these wrinkles become furrows and facial depressions.
  2. The skin of the eyelids and peri orbital area like the rest of the face loses collagen and elastin. That promotes the formation of superficial wrinkles as the time passes they get deeper.
  3. The effect of gravity makes the forehead and eyebrows fall on the eyelids, causing wrinkles and a look of sadness, fatigue and old age.

In young patients wrinkles formed by the contraction of the orbicularis muscle will be only dynamic wrinkles, when the patient does not contract the muscle the skin is not going to look wrinkled, but as time passes that continuous contraction over the loss of collagen and elastin generates grooves, depressions around the eyes.

When we apply botulinum toxin in young patients we avoid or we prevent the formation of these grooves and depressions.
If we associate nourishing treatments and photo protection, we are performing preventive anti-aging medicine.

Those patients who already have well dynamic wrinkles, furrows and depressions around the eyes, the combination of procedures is the best choice.
In this case usually we associate in a single procedure Laser Fractionated dioxide carbon, fillers with hyaluronic acid, botulinum toxin and application of platelet-rich plasma.

Botulinum Toxin

It works by decreasing the action of the orbicularis oculi, not only helps the skin does not wrinkle when the patient contracts the muscle but prevents the formation of deep grooves.
Another great benefit in the application of botulinum toxin in the peri orbital region is that it improves the look expression by blocking the action of the orbicularis which is a depressant muscle of the tail of the eyebrow, allows the frontal muscle which is a muscle how lift the eye brow.
When the frontally muscle works freely, give to the expression a look more rested, refreshed and youthful look.

Carbon fractionated dioxide laser

Tiny beams carbon dioxide laser penetrate the skin like thermal columns to the deep dermis.
Heating the deep dermis activate the collagen production and within days we can observe a tightening of the skin and reducing of lines and wrinkles.
The contraction of the skin increases as the months pass and tensor effect lasts for years.
Dr. Ricardo Hoogstra facial was a pioneer in facial rejuvenation with carbon dioxide laser he is applying this technology since 1995.
Dr. Ricardo Hoogstra is referring physician in minimally invasive facial rejuvenation and your clinic is visiting for patients around the world.

Hyaluronic acid fillers

Patients with grooves and depressions around the eyes can be benefits with the injection of Hyaluronic acids.
Hyaluronic acid is an effective and safe option is the application.
Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of the skin, which does not produce allergic reactions, it acts to retain water in the injection site and forming collagen.
Hyaluronic acid Restylane and Juvederm last 12 to 14 months.
You will look good and natural on the same day of the application and can continue immediately with their activity.
Usually in the same session Botulinum toxin is applied to relax the orbicularis muscle action and hyaluronic acid to fill deep wrinkles.
